Historic Reenactment
I actually learned to knit many years ago as a young girl, but put it aside and became an avid reader. I recently picked it back up and again (about 3 years ago). I was in Anna's yarn shoppe and found a pair of beautiful rosewood needles. I became determined to pick up knitting again so I could justify the purchase of those needles. I must mention I am also a reenactor at Sutter's Fort State Historic Park. I decided my historic activity would be knitting. Since then I taught myself to do many more stitches. Here I am on a tall ship knitting a monmouth cap, knitting in the round with pins or as they are called today double pointed needles.
